Straightforward on purpose
GRT Mortgage & Protection is a new advice business built around an old-fashioned idea: tell people the truth about their options and let them decide.
Mortgages and insurance are full of small print, sales targets and advice that quietly costs you money. GRT is built to be the opposite of that. Led by Greg Trowell, the adviser behind the initials, it exists to give honest, personalised advice tailored to your individual needs, helping you make informed decisions with confidence.
The promise on the logo is the business plan: 100% fee-free professional advice. You will never get an invoice for a conversation, a recommendation or the work behind it.
The business works from Kirkcaldy in Fife, and everything starts the same way: a relaxed chat, booked by call or email at a time that suits you. Advice first, decisions later.
What fee free actually means
- Advice costs you nothing
- The research, the recommendation and the explanations are free. That is the whole point of the name on the door.
- No surprise invoices
- There is no clock running while we talk and no bill at the end, whatever you decide.
- Free to walk away
- If the honest answer is that your current deal or cover is already right, you will hear exactly that.
How we work
-
Straightforward
Plain English, always. If a recommendation cannot be explained simply, it is not ready to be a recommendation.
-
Honest
The drawbacks get the same airtime as the benefits. You hear what a product will not do before you pay for it.
-
Personalised
No two situations are the same, so no two recommendations should be either. Advice starts with listening.
-
Confidence
The goal of every conversation is that you understand your decision well enough to explain it to someone else.
Start the conversation
Whatever stage you are at, the first step is the same: a chat that costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
